Oak at Avery

This majestic oak is one of hundreds planted inside the Jungle Gardens at the beautiful Avery Island in New Iberia, LA.

The island is home to the world famous Tabasco plant and the carefully procured Jungle Gardens.

As we drove through the gardens the oak and the bright pink flowers caught my eye and I told my husband “Stop”!  it was a such a beautiful clear day and the oak was providing the perfect shelter for it’s seasonal friends.
